The fun that is PrairieFest continues in 2020! Summer Starts Here! The Oswegoland Park District hosts the Father’s Day weekend tradition to kick off the season!
PrairieFest is Oswego’s four-day community celebration brought to you by the Oswegoland Park District, Presenting Partners First National Bank of Omaha, generous business sponsors, civic organizations, and hundreds of volunteers.
This true community festival is attended by approximately 75,000 during the course of the weekend. PrairieFest events are held throughout Oswego with the main festival grounds located at PrairieFest Park, 91 Plank Road, Oswego, Illinois. The event features main stage entertainment as well as activities like children’s performers, expo village, petting zoos, pony rides, children’s activities, parade, bucket brigade, and a touch a truck event. There is no gate admission. The event is free, compliments of our generous business partners.
The Oswegoland Park District encourages everyone in the community to find their place at PrairieFest. We are always looking for volunteers to help us host the community festival! Groups are welcome to put event ideas together for submission in the event schedule. The Oswegoland Park District invites anyone to volunteer at the event. If your business would like to help support the community festival, we’re ready to partner with you! For more information on how you can get involved in this year’s PrairieFest, contact Kristie Vest at (630)554-4425 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Oswegoland Park District asks any organizers of any speech or gathering to give the Park District notice of assembly in order to provide for safe spaces and the reasonable accommodation of any competing uses of the park system or adjoining properties.
